Whistler Restaurant

"Best views from a bedroom window in the Whistler Valley." A typical view includes views of Green Lake, Armchair Glacier, Wedge Mountain, and Whistler Blackcomb.

Welcome to Edge-Water LodgeA private estate: 42 acres of the most beautiful forested property imaginable in one of Earth's more amazing settings.   Spectacular dining and views.   Minutes (3 Kilometers) North of Whistler Village bordering on the River of Golden Dreams and Nicklaus North Golf Course.

  • Artesian spring water:  Edgewater is blessed with a private artesian spring that produces water that is out of this world.  Guests are often intrigued because one can drink the best water imaginable right out of your tap and then know that you can shower and bathe in it.  Why buy Perrier when something much better comes out of the tap?
    Amenities:
  • Endless recreation opportunities:
  • 12 Lakefront rooms (all) with views to Green Lake and the surrounding major peaks.
  • Breakfast, Tea, and strong coffee included with stay.
  • Gourmet dining on site.  *Check dining page for scheduled days.

  • Setting: The lodge is in one of British Columbia and Whistler's most spectacular locations. The views from the lodge, the garden areas, and the dining room are unparalled in Whistler.

Capacity: The lodge can handle groups up to a maximum of about 120 people for a summer wedding with dinner reception.  The dining room itself sits up to 70 people comfortably for dinner inside and an additional 30 people on our  deck whereas for the larger weddings, a Marquis tent is set up on our lawn beside the lake.

Susan Reifer of Ski Magazine said:  "Whistler Valley holds a secret most visitors never glimpse: It is magical and magnetic not because of anything manmade, but because of the sheer enormity and beauty of the basin's natural mountain landscape. At the uncomplicated Edgewater Lodge, two miles from the congested bustle of Whistler Village, this is a secret impossible to overlook. The 12-room inn and restaurant perch on a serenely quiet, 45-acre peninsula of land that extends into glacial-fed Green Lake. "The view is like the horn of plenty,".......The single-story, prow-shaped, shorefront lodge opened for business in March 1995. The rooms (either a single room or a bedroom with den and deck) are comfortable but basic—until you climb into bed. From there, every guest can see the long alpenglow on Whistler and Blackcomb, the lights of snowcats tracing the runs at night, moonlight on the water and an occasional train passing on the far shore." The centerpiece of the hotel is its lakeside dining room, with high vaulted ceilings, walls of glass and a dazzling menu.

...On snowy nights, diners fill the candlelit room, marvelling at the setting...."

    Activities:

With the 2010 Olympics just around the corner, Whistler is busy preparing to host the world. Our cross country skiing in the Whistler Valley around Lost Lake has over 40km of groomed trails to explore. Perhaps something a little more for the family? The Edgewater activity centre has horsedrawn sleighrides for the whole family and in summer, trail rides, canoe and kayak rentals well as a myriad of other activities!
